BioDescription
A lean man of average height, G'dri has allowed neither age or lack of threat to unduly affect his physique. Perhaps a little slower, a little stiffer, but he's still as trim today as he was when he left weyrlinghood behind. Black hair is kept neatly trimmed, short enough to be tidy and long enough to hint at curls. The first touches of grey mark his temples, with less concentrated strands scattered throughout. He has bright blue eyes beneath bold brows, framed by laugh lines. A straight nose, slightly pointed, leads down towards a mouth that's thin lipped but not unattractively so. Slightly scruffy, the dark tint of stubble oft graces a strong jaw and cleft chin.
His riding leathers are plain and utilitarian, undyed and undecorated, scarred here and there from hard wear. When not dressed for duty, he favours dark trousers that fit loosely over his legs, allowing for ease of movement, and sensible shoes. His shirts are mostly button-down, long sleeved though often rolled past his elbows during the warmer months. Colder weather brings with it the addition of cable knit sweaters, slightly large and tunic length. He has a definite preference towards blue, though has been caught in green and grey, and even purple occasionally. While leaning towards the conservative and earthy side of fashion, his clothing is always well made and of good quality fabrics.
Only worn when on-duty or visiting out-Weyr, his knot is that of Fortian bluerider.

From Lemos Hold by birth, Gedrin was an apprentice Smithcrafter when he was Searched for a Fortian clutch. 19 and thinking this would be perhaps his last chance at adventure before settling into the sedate life of a jeweller, he agreed. And so it was that blue Khameth found him on the Sands, with a bright-tinged promise of many adventures to be shared together, and Gedrin became forever more G'dri. While during their youth the pair did indeed share many adventures, they were never either of them reckless or outrageous, and as they aged settled comfortably into their current reputation as being steadfast, cheerful and reliable, conscientious and discreet. He has had only one weyrmate in his life, fellow bluerider Y'ren who was killed early on during the Comet Pass. His daughter, Liladri, was the unexpected but not unwelcome result of a won mating flight, though sadly her mother was also one of those lost to the freak return of Thread.
G'dri is often quiet and calm, not given to excessive displays of emotion though he doesn't go out of his way to mask his feelings without good cause to do so. Unjudgemental and reserved, the type who would never betray a confidence unless the withholding of information would bring direct harm to others, to those that know him he is a solid stone amidst a turbulent current, always ready to provide anchoring support.
